Welcome to the Makers Workshop
This space is designed to help you write your fantasy novel with more clarity, momentum, and confidence.
What is the Makers Workshop?
The Makers’ Workshop is the paid library for tools, replays, pathways, and support that help you:
Make strong story decisions (without spiraling)
Keep your draft moving (even when the middle gets messy)
Build a world, cast, and plot that work together on the page
What you will find here
Tools + checklists you can use while drafting and revising
Office hours replays (real questions, real diagnoses, real next steps)
Start-here pathways by topic (worldbuilding, character, plot, scene craft, process)
Can’t Find it Here? Try Premium Chat
The Makers Library is just getting started, so you might not find the answers you need right away. But with your access Premium Chat you can get quick answers to your questions, plus accountability and shared momentum.
What to post:
A specific question you want answered
The context someone needs to answer it (2–5 sentences is usually enough)
What you have already tried, if anything
Helpful ways to frame your question:
“I’m writing a scene where ___. What’s the clearest way to raise tension?”
“I’m stuck between Option A and Option B. Which one creates stronger consequences?”
“My draft feels wobbly because ___. What should I diagnose first?”
“I can’t stop worldbuilding instead of drafting. What is the smallest decision I need to make to move forward?”
A few guidelines (so this stays supportive and useful):
Be kind to yourself and others. We are building books, not proving worth.
No plagiarism requests. We can absolutely brainstorm and problem-solve, but we will not lift from living authors.
Protect your energy. Post what you need help with, not your whole novel.
Consent matters. If you want feedback on a page or excerpt, say so directly.
Celebrate progress. A drafted scene counts.
Need Deeper Help? Try Office Hours
If you want help untangling something bigger, bring it to office hours.
Use office hours when you want a live back-and-forth, a clearer diagnosis, or help choosing between a few strong options.
You do not need to be “ready.” Bring the messy version. We can sort it out together.
If you are not sure what to ask, share what you are trying to do and what keeps derailing you.
I’m Here for You
Writing a novel is a long-haul project. Even when you love the story, there will be days when the work feels slow, messy, and strangely lonely.
This is why support matters.
Not because you need someone to “fix” your book, but because it is easier to keep going when you have:
A place to ask the question you have been carrying around for two weeks
A calm voice to help you sort signal from noise
A next step that is small enough to do today
The Makers Workshop is here to support you. I’m here to support you, so that you can keep wonder on the page and keep moving toward a finished draft.
